Alabama Trophy Angler and State Record Certified Catches of Black Crappie

Certified Trophy Anglers have had their catch of a black crappie 3.5 pounds or larger or 17 inches or longer certified by the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division. (Photographs required of the fish next to a ruler and with the angler, see rules.) Certified Master Anglers have had their catch of a black crappie 2.5 pounds or larger or 15 inches or longer certified by the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division.

Shelley Meadows caught an eighteen-inch black crappie on March 27, 2007, that tied the record for Alabama, 4-pounds, 5-ounces.
