We are still looking to certify lake record largemouth bass (8-pound minimum), spotted bass (4-pound minimum) and redeye bass (12-ounce minimum). We also have an angler recognition program for other sport fish.

Noal T Heuer caught this flathead catfish in Lake Weiss on July 14, 2011, while bass fishing with a Carolina rig. I bet he thought it was a record bass!

This blue catfish caught on February 28, 2010, by John Smith seems to be feeding well during the Alabama winter!

Jason Williams, with the help of Michael Howell, caught this 60 pound blue catfish on Lake Weiss by using a 1-liter soft drink bottle rigged like a trot line, baited with cut shad.

John Smith caught this 12-pound striped bass from Lake Weiss on six pound line during early March of 2007.

Crappie are still caught in July at Lake Weiss by Kelly Matthews drop shotting minnows.
