We are still looking to certify lake record largemouth bass (8-pound minimum) and spotted bass (4-pound minimum). We also have an angler recognition program for other sport fish.

 


The Alabama record alligator gar was caught in August of 2004 from the Tensaw River by Michael Houseknecht of Mobile, 151-pounds, 5-ounces


Bow angler, Clayton Hadley, shot a large alligator gar near the mouth of the Apalachee River in August of 2008. The fish was about 77-3/4 inches long, and the unofficial weight was 134 pounds.
