The adult trapper education workshop is an outreach program that gives landowners and land managers the opportunity to experience and to be educated in an outdoor skill that helped to settle this country. It is a program that was initiated by the Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division with assistance from the Alabama Trappers and Predator Control Association, USDA Wildlife Services, and Safari Club International. This outreach program passes on information that may be utilized in managing their properties, biological information concerning furbearers and furbearer management. Participants have the opportunity to learn the proper techniques that include the use of trapping as a sound wildlife management tool.
