SCIENTIFIC NAME: Aythya valisineria

STATUS: Fairly common to uncommon in fall, winter, and spring, and occasional in summer in Tennessee Valley region. In other regions, uncommon in winter, spring, and fall, and occasional in spring and summer. Low Conservation Concern.

HABITAT: Found on shallow lakes, ponds, marshes, and estuaries.
