SCIENTIFIC NAME: Hydroprogne caspia
STATUS: Breeder. Fairly common in all seasons in Gulf Coast region. In Tennessee Valley, uncommon in spring and fall, and rare in summer. In Mountain and Inland Coastal Plain regions, rare in fall, and occasional in winter, spring, and summer. Low Conservation Concern.
HABITAT: Found in the Gulf and on large lakes, large rivers, bays, and beaches.
