Alabama Certified Trophy Anglers for Spotted Bass or Alabama Bass

Certified Trophy Anglers have had their catch of a spotted bass six pounds or larger or 21 inches or longer certified by the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division. (Photographs required of the fish next to a ruler and with the angler, see rules.) Certified Master Anglers have had their catch of a spotted bass four pounds or larger or 19 inches or longer certified by the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division.

Danny Joe Betterton of Hartselle caught a 6-pound, 3-ounce and the first lake record spotted bass from Wheeler Lake on February 24, 2008. He also earned a Trophy Angler Certificate for this catch.
