Lake Sturgeon - Formerly native to the Tennessee River and Coosa River, the lake sturgeon is being restocked into the upper Coosa River by the State of Georgia.

Shovelnose Sturgeon - Extirpated from Alabama, the shovelnose is most similar to the Alabama sturgeon, but the shovelnose sturgeon has a smaller eye and other differentiating characteristics.
