Flat Sedge

Scientific Name: Cyperus odoratus
Distinguishing Characteristics:
•Like other flat sedges, stems are solid and triangular in cross-section. 
•Long, narrow leaf blades coming up from base and drooping over.
•Seedheads appear like a test tube brush.
•Can form dense, grassy thickets in moist soil to shallow water.
