Scientific Name:   Hymenocallis spp. 
   
Distinguishing Characteristics:
•Basal leaves appearing like grass blades; leaves up to 3 feet long and 1.5-inch wide.
•Showy, white flowers in groups at end of thick, leafless stem.
•Grows in moist soil to shallow water.
