Scientific Name: Ruppia spp.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

•Leaves alternate and ribbon to thread-like.

•Leaves have stipules and leaf sheath originating from main leaf base appearing like multiple leaf blades.

•Leaves inflated at base.

•Growth habit similar to Potamogeton.
