Andy Guy earned the Master Angler Certificate for cathing this four pound fourteen ounce spotted bass on July 12, 2008 in the Black Warrior River about 300 yards from Holt Tailwaters.

We are still looking to certify a lake record spotted bass (6-pound minimum). We also have an angler recognition program for other sport fish.
A six pound, ten ounce spotted bass from Lake Oliver was caught from the wing wall near the dam during April of 2006 on a white "Fat Albert" grub with a 1/4 oz. jighead.
