Fish Caught by Anglers from Thurlow Lake

We are still looking to certify lake record largemouth bass (8-pound minimum), smallmouth bass (5-pound minimum), spotted bass (4-pound minimum), and redeye bass (12-ounce minimum). We also have an angler recognition program for other sport fish.

A 2-pound, 5-ounce Alabama spotted bass was caught by Ernest Patillo from Lake Thurlow on February 26, 2009. 


SSG Sidney Johnson relaxed in Thurlow to catch these spotted bass. He is stationed in Iraq.

Smallmouth bass have been stocked into Thurlow.
Smallmouth bass were stocked in Thurlow Lake, but they are no longer caught.

 On June 12, 2006, Billy Curlee caught this one-pound, ten-ounce shellcracker on Thurlow Reservoir.
