The Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Center at Virginia Tech (VPI) in Blacksburg, Virginia, donated 1,007 18-month old oyster mussels raised from Clinch River females for stocking in the Paint Rock River.	These oyster mussels were grown from culturing some gravid females from Hiawasee River, TN.
	Previously extripated from Alabama, oyster mussels were stocked in the Paint Rock River on September 26, 2012 .
