SCIENTIFIC NAME: Eremophila alpestris

STATUS: Breeder. Fairly common in winter, spring, and fall, and uncommon in summer in Tennessee Valley region. Uncommon fall thru winter and locally uncommon to rare in summer in Mountain region. In Inland Coastal Plain region, rare and local in winter and late fall, and occasional in spring and summer. Low Conservation Concern.

HABITAT: Found in open country habitats with short grass and bare ground patches, cultivated fields, and stubble fields.
