2012 Youth Dove Hunts
STEP OUTSIDE Youth Dove HuntsPlease click here for a complete list of 2012 youth dove hunts. In the past, Harvest Information Program (HIP) stickers have been available at youth dove hunts. Beginning this fall (2011), HIP stickers will no longer be available at youth dove hunts. All youth dove hunt participants of license buying age will need to visit our licensing site, probate judges office, or other license agents to obtain a free HIP sticker prior to arriving at a youth hunt. The registration process is done in 3 steps. Step 1 involves entering the adult mentor information, i.e. name, date of birth, drivers license number, and last 4 digits of your SSN. Step 2 involves entering the name and date of birth for the youth participants. Step 3 involves choosing the hunts you want to attend. Click here to register for a youth dove hunt. Want to introduce a young person to hunting? The perfect place to start is with a STEP OUTSIDE youth dove hunt, sponsored by the Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. In cooperation with landowners, local volunteers, businesses and organizations, these dove hunts are scheduled throughout the state. Young hunters must be less than 16 years old and accompanied by an adult at least 25 years old or their parent, with a valid state hunting license and a Harvest Information Program (H.I.P.) stamp. All are encouraged to wear eye protection and ear plugs. Registration for youth dove hunts in September and October is scheduled to begin August 22, and September 19, 2012 at 8:00 AM, respectively. All registration will be done online from a link on this page. South Zone counties include BALDWIN, BARBOUR, COFFEE, COVINGTON, DALE, ESCAMBIA, GENEVA, HENRY, HOUSTON and MOBILE. North Zone includes all other counties.
