BOW Workshop Information
Participants must be at least 18 years old to attend BOW. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants who register early are more likely to get their top choices of classes. After registering online, you will receive email confirmation approximately six weeks prior to the workshop. Driving directions.
Meals are cafeteria style and begin with supper on Friday. Please eat lunch before arriving on Friday. If you have special dietary needs, refrigerator space is available.
What to Bring
Classes are held outdoors, so bring clothing suitable for a variety of weather conditions. A flashlight and lawn chair may be useful during the Saturday evening activities. Also bring comfortable shoes, rain gear, bug spray, medications, and sunglasses/hat/visor. You may also want to have money(1) for the raffle, silent auction, soda machine, etc.
Cancel on or before Friday, September 7, 2012, to receive a full refund. Cancellations made between September 8 and September 20 will receive half of the registration amount. Cancellations made after September 20 will forfeit 100 percent of the registration amount. Substitutes are allowed. Cancellations must be made by emailing email@example.com.
Lodging is dormitory style. Most dorm rooms have two bunk beds (sleeps four) with a bathroom. Cabins sleep up to 10 with a bathhouse nearby. All buildings are heated and cooled. Linens are provided.
Proceeds from the Silent Auction provide BOW scholarships for those who need financial assistance. In addition, proceeds may be used to off-set the cost of workshop supplies. Your donation of items to be auctioned is appreciated. Items such as walking staffs, handmade crafts and birdhouses have been donated in the past. Please be prepared to pay for all purchases before leaving on Sunday.(1)
A raffle for a free BOW scholarship will take place with proceeds going to provide registration fees for those who need financial assistance. Raffle cards are $5 each. (1)
Wild Game Fare Hour
A social hour will be hosted on Saturday from 5 – 6 p.m. Wild game hors d’oeuvres will be served.
An optional “Camping Under the Stars” activity is offered Saturday night. If you wish to participate, bring a tent, sleeping bag and other necessary equipment. Set-up is on Saturday afternoon.
Organizing the BOW workshop takes place months in advance, and every effort is made to offer all scheduled classes. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, instructors, topics and schedules may change. In the event of an unforeseen cancellation, participants are offered an alternative class.
