Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Divisions

Information and Education Section – Hands-on children's environmental education area offering several wildlife and water conservation activities.

WFF-Fisheries Section – Kids fishing area; touch and feel display tanks of native aquatic species; Fisheries education area

WFF-Wildlife Section – Shooting Sports Area (beginning and advanced shotgun, small bore rifles, air guns, archery, muzzleloading, Laser Shot shooting simulators (3), treestand safety, native wildlife touch and feel interaction and display area

WFF-Enforcement Section – Children's "Who Done It" activity area, wildlife tracks, kid's guided nature hike and Enforcement equipment display area

Marine Resources Division – Touch and feel display tanks of native saltwater species, Enforcement display area, marine education area

State Parks Division – Park Naturalists touch and feel area, Parks information area

State Lands Division – Children's hands-on educational area, nature talks

Marine Police Division – children's activities - paper boat races, "Who Done It" boat, ring toss and Junior Marine Police Officer t-shirt printing (shirts provided) as well as Marine Police equipment display area

Oak Mountain Interpretive Center – Guided nature hike

Camp McDowell – Hands-on interactions with native birds and animals, information on their children's environmental education camps

Dalton and Patsy Halbrook – Take a step back in time as you enter an authentic pioneer camp and see how our forefathers really lived. Sit by the fire for a few minutes, and you might even get a story out of "Huggin' Bear".

Kelley Bartlett Conservancy – Live raptor flights and interactions, including eagles

Army Corps of Engineers – Kid's boating activity: boating on lake in electric mini-boats

Birmingham Zoo – Assisting the Wildlife Section in bringing native live animals for participant interaction.

Alabama Society of Traditional Bow Hunters – Traditional Archery

Alabama Horse Society – Equestrian Activities, information on facilities available to the public.
