Sport Fish Restoration


Biologist Aide Morrison emphasized fishing safety to participants.

Youth were encouraged to read, "The Basic Fishing Handbook."

During the class, casting a rod was a highlight.

The use of plastic fish shaped targets called, "Back Yard Bass" insures casting accuracy.
Safety circle? Notice the hoola hoops on the gym floor.

The casting portion of the class builds confidence.
When I am age 16 I plan to purchase my first fishing license on the internet.
Anticipation! Prior to fishing, Biologist Moss discuss safety around and near the water. Participants were encouraged to visit other locations within the state to fish.

"Hey, I caught a bluegill bream."

The State of Alabama freshwater fish, "the largemouth bass" was caught by this young lady.
Today was a good a day because we went fishing. Thank you pond owners Mr. and Mrs. Pierce from Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries!
