Sport Fish Restoration

Students learn about watersheds and the water cycle.

Ms. Morrison talks about largemouth bass, the Alabama State Freshwater Fish.  Wildlife Forever sponsors an art contest featuring the largemouth bass and other state fish.

An EnviroScape is a model used to show how pollution gets into water bodies.

Students use green Kool-aid to represent fertilizer.

At the Bubbling Spring, students learn about groundwater and its importance to streams.

Students find the Asiatic clam, an exotic freshwater mussel.

The flume to the mill is a great habitat for Asiatic clams.

The seine is not an easy piece of collecting gear to use, but it can catch minnows and darters.

The Asiatic clam filters water.

Thanks for the great fun!
