Sport Fish Restoration

Everyone is ready to learn. Getting outdoors is a great way to learn about nature.   Students learn that the largemouth bass is the official freshwater fish for the state of Alabama.

Students enjoy a train ride through the watershed.
Freshwater is placed in a holding tank for fish. Collecting fish at Tannehill.
Green and yellow magnifiers allow for a closer look.
Students gather around a tank to identify fish.
Mussels were collected too.
