All Cub Scouts that heard the fishing introduction and fished are eligible for the "Take Me Fishing Passport Patch," which may be obtained through your scout leader.  If you caught your first fish, which many did, you may have your scout leader get a "First Fish Patch" also. The Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division has a PDF My First Fish Certificate you may fill out and print yourself.

Fishing Belt Loops and Fishing Sports Pins may also be earned by Cub Scouts.

This cub scout caught a bluegill, which lots of people call bream.

It is always fun to fish with your parents.

All sunfish have spines, so this Boy Scout is handling this bluegill.

A largemouth bass puts up a good fight.

Cub Scouts got some excitement fishing with worms, a favorite bait for redear sunfish.

Some of the Boy Scouts were able to get in on the action. This scout has a redear sunfish or shellcracker.

Mr. Doug tried to get the smallest bass of the day between classes.

Could this be the largest fish of the day?

A new species is caught, a turtle!

Larry takes a break from helping to finish lunch.

Boy Scouts were eager to help and smart enough to take off their Class A uniforms.

Some parents enjoyed the fishing fun from afar.

Thanks for the help, Antony.

Looks official, everyone had a good time.
