All Cub Scouts that heard the fishing introduction and fished are eligible for the "Take Me Fishing Passport Patch," which may be obtained through your scout leader.  If you caught your first fish, which many did, you may have your scout leader get a "First Fish Patch" also. The Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division has a PDF My First Fish Certificate you may fill out and print yourself.

Fishing Belt Loops and Fishing Sports Pins may also be earned by Cub Scouts.

This crafty cub angler caught a largemouth bass on an artificial lure.

Bream like earthworms.

That is a big redear sunfish or shellcracker.

Two bluegill came up at the same time.

Beetle spins work for bluegill as well as for largemouth bass.

Grass carp
are used to control aquatic plants.

Thanks for the great fun fishing!
