The State of Alabama, in conjunction with the other Gulf Coast States and federal natural resource trustees, is conducting a Natural Resource Damage Assessment for the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Alabama’s lead trustee agency for the Oil Spill, and the Geological Survey of Alabama, co-state trustee, along with our federal trustee partners - the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service - are hosting a public meeting on this topic.
The public is invited to attend to learn the fundamentals of the Natural Resource Damages Assessment process through this meeting and understand opportunities for public involvement as the process moves forward. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm and conclude at 8:00 pm at the location listed below.
