THE LILLIAN SWAMP- WEST TRACT ADDITION in Baldwin County consists of approximately 894 acres of pine savannah wetland and upland habitat, adjacent to existing State of Alabama tracts and previous acquisitions made through the Forever Wild Program (acquisitions # 29 and 31). The general area is adjacent to the upper reaches of Perdido Bay. The tract was acquired with financial support from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, through a $1 Million National Coastal Wetlands grant. This tract serves as an addition to the property acquired in 2003, all of which is being managed as a Nature Preserve.
