GRAND BAY SAVANNA- GIDDENS TRACT ADDITION in Mobile County consists of 1,642 acres of piney flatwoods adjacent to existing State of Alabama tracts and previous acquisitions made through the Forever Wild Program (acquisitions # 24 and 38). This tract was acquired with financial support from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, through a $1 Million National Coastal Wetlands grant. The tract serves as an addition to the original property acquired in 1996(acquisition #4), all of which is being managed as a Nature Preserve.
