89. The Freedom Hills WMA Addition

THE Freedom Hills WMA ADAMS ADDITION in Colbert County consists of 102 acres of mixed pine-hardwood forest near Newsome Springs. This addition to the Freedom Hills WMA was secured through a property exchange. The Forever Wild Land Trust Board approved the exchange of 75 acres from the Riverton Community Hunting Area for the Adams Tract’s 102 acres. This addition provides improved access to the Freedom Hills WMA-McCullough addition (see purchase # 86).
