Pike County Pocosin Tract

Location: Pike County; TN9, R21E, Section 1 and T9N, R22E, Section 6

Acreage: 190 acres

THE PIKE COUNTY POCOSIN TRACT was purchased as a nature preserve and to provide opportunities for ecological education. This tract has two unique plant communities. A portion of the tract is similar to the Carolina wetland Pocosins and the remainder of the tract consists of an uncommon scrub-oak, and longleaf pine ecosystem.

The property is located about two miles east of Troy, Alabama via Pike County Rd. 26 off of HWY 231.
