SPLINTER HILL BOG- IP TRACT ADDITION in Baldwin County in Baldwin Countyconsists of approximately 264 acres of a 507 acre tract of longleaf pine and bog habitat, at the headwaters of the Perdido River. The tract adjoins the Splinter Hill Bog-Ben May Tract, and is being managed as a Nature Preserve to forward the conservation of these rare natural communities. The remainder of the tract was acquired by the State Lands Division through Coastal Impact Assistance Program funds, provided through the U.S. Department of Commerce=s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA)
