Sipsey Complex Location: Tuscaloosa County

The Sipsey Complex is made up of 3 different tract totaing 3,431 acres. It is located in Tuscaloosa County and consist of bottomland hardwood forest and swamp lands along the flood plains of the Sipsey River. Tract #28 is bisected by old Highway 82 on the north end of the property and provides the public with a new point of road and river access to these state lands.
The management objective of this complex is habitat conservation, outdoor recreation, scientific research and education.
