Mobile-Tensaw Delta Complex

Mobile-Tensaw Delta Complex is made up of 13 different tracts totaling 48, 234 acres. It is located in the heart of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta which is our Nation’s second largest river delta. It encompasses a 10 mile-wide marsh, cypress-tupelo swamp and bottomland hardwood ecosystem. Over 50 rare and endangered plant and animals are currently known to inhabit this area. When the delta is not flooded, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta Complex’s unique attributes and scenery provide for tremendous opportunities for canoeing, fishing, bird watching, hunting, camping, and nature study.
 
The Mobile-Tensaw Delta Complex is home to the Alabama State Lands Bartram Canoe Trail and the Upper Delta and Lower Delta Wildlife Management areas.
