Alabama Coastal Area Management Program (ACAMP)

The State Lands Division, Coastal Section is responsible for overall ACAMP program management. This involves fiscal and grant management, planning and dissemination of public information. This program is implemented in the legislatively defined coastal area of Alabama which extends from the continuous ten-foot contour seaward to the three-mile limit. Program management is facilitated by the State Lands Division, Coastal Section located in Fairhope, Alabama. Program staff works closely with staff from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, Coastal Section office to implement the federally approved program. Annual program activities include the coastal cleanup, implementation of public access construction projects, support of the Adopt-A-Beach program, and planning support for local governments.
