THE MOBILE-TENSAW DELTA-BAYOU JESSAMINE TRACT ADDITION in Baldwin County consist of 184 acres of wetlands dominated by flood prone hardwood timber adjoining previously purchased land along the Tensaw River and Bayou Jessamine. A $1,000,000 grant from the North American Wetlands Conservation Program supported this purchase of unique habitats essential for avian conservation, as well as several rare species of plants and animals. The tract is also the home of Alabama=s State Champion Bald Cypress Tree.
