Location: Baldwin County, Township 1N , Range 4E, Section 22
Acreage: 264.55
The Splinter Hill Bog-International Paper Addition Tract consists of approximately 264.55 acres of longleaf pine and bog habitat at the headwaters of the Perdido River. The tract adjoins the Splinter Hill Bog-Ben May Trust Tract and is being managed as a nature preserve to forward the conservation of these rare natural communities. The remainder of the tract was acquired by the State Lands Division through Coastal Impact Assistance Program funds, provided through the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA).
