SCIENTIFIC NAME: Arenaria interpres

STATUS: Common in winter and spring, fairly common in late summer, and rare in early summer in Gulf Coast region. In other regions, rare in spring and fall. MODERATE CONSERVATION CONCERN.

HABITAT: Found along rocky shores, jetties, and on mudflats and beaches.
