SCIENTIFIC NAME: Actitis macularius 

STATUS: Historical breeder. Common in spring, late summer, and fall, and uncommon to rare in winter in Gulf Coast region. In other regions, common in spring, late summer, and fall, and rare in winter. MODERATE CONSERVATION CONCERN.

HABITAT: Found along pond and lake margins, stream banks, and on mudflats.
