Tournament Posting Freshwater Fishing Tournaments
Tournament organizers may submit their tournaments to ADCNR, and the tournaments can be viewed on our Web site. This allows boaters and tournament planners to reduce conflicts. This is not a reservation system, but a way to let people know about events.
The Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division does not permit nor deny tournaments, but the Marine Police Division does require permits for any boating event expecting 100 or more boats (including bass tournaments) with more than 100 boats participating. Applications can be obtained from the Alabama Marine Police free of charge by contacting Subrena Davis at (334) 242-3630. Applications must be completed and submitted to them at least 15 days prior to the event.
If you have questions or comments about this system, please contact Doug Darr at Doug.Darr@dcnr.alabama.gov.
