Hobbseus prominens

Scientific Name: Hobbseus prominens

Distribution: North America: Mobile River Basin in Alabama; northern Mississippi (Hobbs 1989).
Alabama: Known from 18 database records from the Tombigbee, Black Warrior, Alabama and Cahaba river systems.
Habitat: Secondary burrower in both lentic and lotic environments (Hobbs 1989).
Conservation Status: Moderate Conservation Concern.
