North Alabama Birding Trail

 

NORTH ALABAMA BIRDING TRAIL

Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries’ Nongame Wildlife Program has announced the development of The North Alabama Birding Trail. The trail will include approximately 50 diverse birding sites traversing the Tennessee Valley in north Alabama. A list of proposed sites has been compiled from recommendations from wildlife biologists, bird enthusiasts, and other conservation organizations throughout Alabama. area.

The presence of a birding trail in North Alabama is expected to provide wildlife enthusiasts with a quality outdoor birding experience, from both a recreational and educational aspect as it relates to wildlife conservation, and a significant economic boost to the Tennessee Valley area.
