Charles "Chuck" Sharp is a District V Wildlife Supervisor/ State Waterfowl Biologist with the Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries in Spanish Fort. He attended Auburn University and received his Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management in 1981. He began work with the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division in 1982 as an Area Biologist on Lamarion WMA in Lamar and Marion Counties. In 1997 Chuck was promoted to Assistant Supervising Biologist for District III and District I after a restructuring of the district lines in northeast Alabama. He served in that capacity for four years. Chuck was promoted to Supervising Wildlife Biologist for District V in 2001. In March 2012, Chuck passed away. ADCNR will miss his expertise in wildlife management.
Roger Clay is a wildlife biologist in the District V Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division offices in Spanish Fort. He has worked for the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Nongame Wildlife Program for 20 years on projects involving restoration and monitoring of bald eagles, shorebird nesting monitoring and management, indigo snake surveys, and other ongoing survey efforts for songbirds.
