Shooting Range Remains Temporarily Closed
The William R. Ireland, Sr. - Cahaba River Wildlife Management Area (WMA) has reopened following the completion of cleanup and remediation efforts associated with the Colonial Pipeline gasoline leak in September 2016.
The 35,559-acre WMA is located in Bibb and Shelby counties and offers both big and small game hunting opportunities. The reopened section includes the areas between Brantleyville and Glen Carbon, Ala.
Cleanup and remediation efforts continue near the Cahaba River WMA Shooting Range, which remains closed until further notice. A reopening date for the shooting range will be announced in the future.
