The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) is an exciting and rewarding place to work. The employment positions within the ADCNR are quite varied in content and responsibility, and offer many rewarding career opportunities through its four operational divisions: Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries, Marine Resources, State Lands and State Parks along with Administrative Support Sections.

The Department’s major goal is to promote the statewide stewardship and enjoyment of the natural resources of Alabama and to ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy these resources.

Internships for college students are possible in some areas, such as law enforcement, accounting, wildlife biology, fisheries biology, and as legislative liaisons.
