National Archery in the Schools Virtual National Tournament

While most everyone wants to get together to shoot Nationals as a live, in-person event, there are just too many schools out there that are unable to attend a live event. So, to be inclusive to all, the NASP National tournament will be conducted virtually this year. This will allow ALL U.S. NASP® schools to participate in “Nationals” including schools that have always wanted to participate but have been unable to do so. This should be the largest NASP event ever conducted.

So, how will that work?   Any student that attends an active NASP school in the U.S. is eligible to participate. This includes NASP after-school programs as well as students in the school’s in-school (PE class) program. The NASP instructor (BAI) for the school can register the students.  The students will then shoot for score under the BAI’s supervision. The scores will be added to the website using our new NASP Portal app (available for free in the Apple App store and in the Google Play store) or by direct entry by the BAI.

The registration and competition dates for this event are April 18, 2021 – May 8, 2021. Registration, shooting and score entry will occur during this period. Teams and Individuals are encouraged to participate. Multiple teams per school are permitted and encouraged.

Why Participate?

• Scholarships! – NASP will award one hundred $500 random scholarships.
• Compete against the best. As an “open” event, a student/team can see how they “stack up” against EVERY other archer in the country.
• Get a chance to shoot. This will give the archers who have not been able to shoot this year an opportunity to compete.
• It typically costs each archer hundreds of dollars to be able to travel and compete in our National event. This year, the cost is only $10.
• It helps NASP. The proceeds from these events helps maintain and grow the program to allow other schools the opportunity to experience the fun of shooting a bow and arrow.
