TodayCare Children's Center Learns about the Aquatic Environment

Sport Fish Restoration

Mr. Moss talked about the different types of fish and wildlife in Alabama waters.

Mrs. Morrison introduces common fish in Alabama by giving clues and letting students identify them.

Intern Jace Barnett provides a description of the fish while Mrs. Morrison helps students to find them.

Everyone was eager to test their knowledge!

Some students did not want to get too close to the fish.

One easy way to identify blue and channel catfish from other fish is by their barbels or whiskers on a catfish.

Everyone was excited to see what the inside of a mussel felt like.

Mrs. Morrison explained how important mussels are to our environment. Alabama is lucky to be the home of so many different mussels!

TodayCare Children's Center had a great time learning about our aquatic environment.

Thanks for the great fun!
Mrs. Brenda Morrison
