Sport Fish Restoration

Students look for aquatic invertebrates.

Many invertebrates live on the rocks where they eat algae or detritus.

The invertebrates that students find are temporarily put on paper plates or ice trays.

Organisms can be put in a viewer with a magnification lense and mirror.  Students can see the top of the organism or the bottom.

A student looks a the top of an aquatic insect.

Through the side viewer, a student can use the mirror to see the bottom of an organism.

Thanks for the great fun!
