Alabama’s Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division needs your help to reach the goal for the “Take a Kid Fishing” license plate program. The “Take a Kid Fishing” license plate revenue will support three important water resource programs that include fish habitat enhancement in public waters, boosting the Community Fishing Program for kids, and restoring Alabama’s aquatic threatened and endangered species.
Fisheries Chief Stan Cook said, “We need your help before March 1, 2006, in order to make the ‘Take a Kid Fishing’ license plate program a reality. For the first 200 callers, the $50 commitment fee is being paid for the tag purchaser by a corporate donor.” Contact the Fisheries Section in Montgomery at (334) 242-3471, or telephone one of the following district offices in your area to get your name registered as a supporter of the “Take a Kid Fishing” distinctive license plate.
