The Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources continues development, maintenance, and management of over 750,000 acres of land for the Alabama hunter. A Wildlife Heritage License is valid in lieu of resident State Hunting and Wildlife Management AreaLicense for small game hunting, excluding waterfowl

What do your hunting and fishing license fee fund?

100% of your hunting and fishing license fees go to the Alabama Departement of Conservation and Natural Resources for on-the-ground conservation efforts that help make Alabama one of the best places in the country to hunt and fish. Fish stocking, wildlife management, habitat restoration, land conservation, and Alabama Conservation Enforcement Officers are just some of the initiatives funded in part by your license fees.
