Alabama’s Cooperative Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) is a comprehensive, no-cost program that utilizes site-specific deer harvest data and cooperator education to position the landowner/land manager to better manage their lands for a healthy deer herd and wildlife habitat through the development of site-specific deer harvest recommendations.
DMAP pairs cooperators with a wildlife biologist from WFF’s Technical Assistance Program to develop site-specific deer management recommendations based on the cooperator’s deer management goals, deer harvest data, habitat quality, and other necessary data. Biologists offer guidance on collecting deer harvest and hunter observation data, habitat management techniques, and other practices necessary for achieving deer management success.
What to expect from the seminar:
- What is DMAP?
- Who can enroll in DMAP?
- What is required from DMAP Cooperators?
- What does ADWFF provide to DMAP Cooperators?
Food and refreshments will be provided by the Alabama Conservation and Natural Resources Foundation.
