Alabama DCNR Civil Rights Commitment
It is the policy of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) that no person shall, on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability, or any other protected category, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity administered by ADCNR.
ADCNR receives Federal financial assistance from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Under Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the U.S. Department of the Interior prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability.
ADCNR is committed to adhering to all Federal Civil Rights laws and regulations, including:
a.) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
b.) Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended
c.) Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990
d.) Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972
e.) Age Discrimination Act of 1975
f.) U.S. Department of the Interior regulations at 43 CFR Part 17 and 41
g.) Americans with Disabilities Act/Architectural Barriers Act Guidelines
h.) Presidential Executive Order 14224 (Designating English as the Official Language for the United States).
