The overall purpose of this investigation was to determine if restoring the hydrology along the Mobile Bay Causeway would be feasible considering the potential major constraints and opportunities along the Mobile Bay Causeway. The potential major constraints include the existing sediment characteristics, biology, and constructability. The potential major opportunities include modifications to circulation and water exchange in the bodies of water north of the Causeway.
